JOHANN Jacob FEUCHT -

   Johann Jacob Feucht was born August 11, 1826 in Tamm, Ludwigsburg, Wuerttemberg, Germany. He immigrated to Detroit in 1855 and on February 20, 1859 he married Magdalena Helena Bauer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Detroit. Magdalena Helena Bauer was born January 30, 1840 in Schwarzenbach by Ezelsdorf, Bavaria, Germany.

     They had 10 children-4 sons and 6 daughters. Two of the sons died childless; one son, Johann Conrad Feucht, (known as Conrad Feucht) was born in 1866 and died between November 11, 1908 and January 7, 1933 but it is unknown if he married and had children or even when and where he died. The youngest son of Johann Jacob Feucht and Magdalena Helena Bauer, Charles H. Feucht, did have sons and the Feucht name has continued. The daughters of Johann Jacob Feucht and Magdalena Helena Bauer did marry and the Feucht family has continued as well with such surnames as Schulte, Storkel, Stahl and Engel.

     I have traced the female side of this line - the Bauer side - back to the 1580's in Bavaria but am struggling with the Feucht line.
